Boarding the plane

It’s a packed flight back to Seattle. Hazel’s got her bag and her ticket and she’s ready for her window seat. Hopefully we’ll get a peek of Mt Rainier.

Hazel’s about to fly to Atlanta

We’re headed to Atlanta for a Qumulo recruiting event at my alma mater, Georgia Tech. Hazel’s got the flight checklist all sorted out and we’re about to take off.

New Playground at Seattle Center May 10, 2015, 1:44 pm

New Playground at Seattle Center It looks like this epic new playground at Seattle center is just a few weeks from opening. Located in the shadows of the EMP museum, it looks like Seattle is stepping up its playground game. My only worry is that these two 50 foot slides are going to have lines where it takes 30 minutes [...]

Ungers at the Pacific Science Center February 1, 2015, 1:12 pm

Ungers at the Pacific Science Center

This was one of our last runs of the day when visibility was especially poor. I told Silas that he’s going to grow up thinking atrocious weather and ski conditions [...]

Cargo bike with four kids December 4, 2014, 3:20 pm

Cargo bike with four kids

Way back I late September or early October, we loaded the Yuba Mundo up with four kids for a short journey through Fremont. We sandwiched a few friends between an orange-clad Hazel and Silas. I don’t think we would’ve made it up the Fremont hill, but cruising around lower Fremont was easy and fun.

Cold journey to work December 3, 2014, 4:52 pm

Cold journey to work

We’ve had ice on the roads and in the shadows for 5 days now. My run commute brought me by these ice crystals next to Dexter Ave. Last night, on my jog home I was cold for about 3 hours once I got in the house. A shortsleeve run with a headwind and freezing temps probably isn’t the best for keeping warm.
