At the Suiattle River Road Trailhead August 26, 2011
We’d just completed our 2-day, 2-night, all expenses paid trip to the Buck Creek Campground. As you can see here, we brought the whole family and packed Silas and Hazel into the chariot cougar 2. We used the infant insert in the journey. Oficially, you’re supposed to wait til the baby is 6 months, and as of yesterday, it’s official. Hazel’s 6 months old. She’s got great head and neck countrol and can sit up 95%, so we felt comfortable putting her into the stable chariot infant insert. I had a to make one more trip to ferry in the gear to the campground, but it’s a nice enjoyable ride on the supposedly permanently closed Suiattle River Road. Amazingly, I don’t think we forgot anything important and we easily had our most successful logistical campaing trip yet. It can be pretty hard to plan your camping item list when you’re camping with kids. Fortunately, Angela had a great “master list” of all supplies and camping equipment. We even managed to bring campaing chairs and the always useful Baby Bjorn lie-back chair.
