Carkeek to Golden Gardens beach walk April 24, 2011
We took advantage of the nicest day of 2011 in Seattle with a low tide beach walk. The walk took us from Carkeek Park apple orchards down to the beach and all the way down to the jam packed Golden Gardens. The low tides in the spring allowed us to safely and easily make the walk. We could have made the walk without getting wet, but that would have taken the fun out of the journey. Highlights of our journey didn’t include too much interesting sea life, but the trains rumbling by were pretty cool and Silas managed to find a bunch of interesting sea glass.
