Mini sail boat at South Lake Union December 4, 2010

After a trip to REI this sunny Saturday morning, we stopped by the new South Lake Union Park to see what it’s all about. We were pleasantly surprised to find out what the Center for Wooden Boats is all about. They were showing sailing novices their fully functional model boats. They were really cool and the moderate, consistent breeze made us look like expert sailors. Supposedly they’ll be bringing these boats out on future weekends, so keep an eye out for ‘em.
