Naples Florida beach April 19, 2012

For those who don’t know, spring time in Seattle is commonly known as ‘third winter’. Our first winter is the fall, second winter is the winter and we have our last winter in the spring. So, by the time third winter rolls around, we are desperate for some warmth. We’d explored the Hawaii option, but with two, kids, expensive plane tickets, lodging, and car rental, we decided to stick with the continent. We headed to the opposite corner of the country on florida’s southwest coast. With grandparents around is a huge bonus, we ended up having a great time. The beach and sun for a week straight really helped us get our vitamin d recharge. And we’re now ready for our last 2 months of winter!
