On “the beach” at Olympic Sculpture Park October 29, 2011
We brought the whole family to the Olympis Sculpture Park and downtown today on the bikes and in the Chariot bike trailer. Our route included the following:
- Crossing the loud and somewhat uncomfortable Ballard Bridge
- Enjoyed the beautiful Myrtle Edwards Bike Trail along Elliott Bay
- Took our first stop at the Olympic Sculpture Park in our favorite PACCAR Pavilion
- Rode down Alaskan Way toward my office and having a late lunch at Mae Phim (Thai Restaurant)
- Headed up to the surprisingly crowded Pike Place Market for some “fruit logs” and some Beechers Cheese
- Rode home along Westlake with both kids comfortable passed out in the trailer
I think the highlight for everyone was the hustle and bustle of Pike Place Market. Silas was walking through there and checking out all the booths. And Hazel was as wide eyed as ever.
