Windward Side Beach at Obstruction Pass June 8, 2011
After our 3 days and 2 nights and at Obstruction Pass State Park and Campground, we decided to explore one more beach, so we headed to the west facing, smaller beach. After a nice walk on a short trail through the woods, we arrived at the much more windy side of the "Pass". Our camp site was nice and warm and comfortable, but this beach felt like a wind tunnel in comparison. So after a few pictures and rock exploration, we headed back to the warm side. The most interesting aspect of this little hike is that we walk right by one of the most unique and remote pieces of land I've ever seen. I think this might be the lot: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/474-Point-Of-View-Ln-Olga-WA-98279/61002626_zpid/ The one thing I don't know is if they have water or electricity. I'm thinking they do.
