Hey! I am Ryan Unger

Who I am.

I am a missionary, photographer, thru-hiker, and overall fun-hogger - but mostly just a guy who loves walking really far and eating really well (sometimes at the same time).

What I do and why.

I help people discover who Jesus is and experience a love that reshapes how we see the world. I hope to do this though everyday discipleship, lived out in adventure, stories, and the way of Jesus.

Where do I do this?

You can find me in a place called Planet Earth. I’ll try to be hiking a long trail, chasing light though a lens, or helping others do things they once thought were impossible.

I’ve been shooting photos since before digital cameras were mainstream, working with organizations and publications that span everything from daily newsrooms and movie sets to tribal communities in Brazil and refugee camps in Southeast Asia.

After traveling across more than 35 countries, I’ve learned that it’s always the people, not the places, that make the journey worth it.
